Guédiawaye : Une fille de 12 ans violée, le suspect invoque sa relation amoureuse avec la mère de la victime
A phone repairman was arrested and brought before the court in Pikine-Guédiawaye for the abduction of a minor and the repeated rape of a 12-year-old girl. B. On October 28, 2025, Ms. S. Guèye filed a complaint with the Guédiawaye Central Police Station against B. Sy, who later became known as OBK Sy, for abduction of a minor and repeated rapes of her 12-year-old daughter, I. Faye, a student residing in Guédiawaye. The mother recounts how she discovered the crimes.
That day, she had sent her daughter to buy fresh water at the shop. But the child took a long time to return. Upon her return, S. Guèye questioned her daughter about this unusual delay. Sensing that her mother suspected something, the little girl began to cry. The mother then pressed for an answer. I. Faye finally revealed the truth: B. Sy regularly intercepted her on her way home before raping her in his workshop.
The investigators then interviewed the girl. Her testimony detailed the circumstances of the events. The first time, the phone repairman gave her money to buy tea. When he returned, he led her to the room behind his workplace. It was there that he raped her for the first time. Subsequently, he repeated his assaults several times in the same place.
The defendant's surprising defense
Summoned to the police station, B. Sy denied the allegations. But his defense took an unexpected turn. The suspect claims he was in a romantic relationship with S. Guèye, the girl's mother. According to him, he considers I. Faye his own daughter because of this relationship with her mother. He explains that one day, the girl came to his workshop to have her Huawei phone repaired. After he repaired the phone, he claims, the girl asked him for 500 CFA francs. He says he refused to give her the money, according to Seneweb sources.
Despite the accusations made by the girl and her mother, B. Sy maintains his denials. He denies having intercepted the child, lured her into his room, and abused her on several occasions.
On the instructions of the public prosecutor, B. Sy was taken into custody for abduction of a minor followed by repeated rapes.
At the end of the investigation, B. Sy was brought before the High Court of Pikine-Guédiawaye.
