Guinaw Rails : 9 délinquants ivres morts interpellés par la police lors d'une patrouille nocturne
A security operation carried out on the night of Saturday 4 to Sunday 5 October 2025 by the research brigade of the Guinaw Rails district police station led to the arrest of nine individuals for criminal conspiracy, possession and use of cellulose products and vagrancy.
As part of the fight against crime in the area, elements of the Guinaw Rails district police station, under the command of Chief Superintendent Pathé Gaye, carried out a night patrol upon returning from a mission which resulted in a spectacular raid.
Nine suspects arrested in a state of advanced intoxication
The nine individuals in question were taken into custody and placed at the disposal of the service for the offences of criminal association, possession and use of cellulose products and vagrancy.
They are the mason B. Ndiaye, born in 1998, the merchant C. Faye, born in 1998, the carter A. Diallo, born in 1996, the mechanic A. Ba, born on January 6, 2006, the electrician KB Khouma, born in 2003, the motorcycle mechanic P. Ndong, born on January 20, 2006, the mechanic P.Tall, born in 2007, the carter S. Diallo, born in 1992 and the mechanic T. Ba, born in 2003.
An aborted escape attempt
Faced with the increase in cases of assaults and other acts of banditry reported recently in the area, the elements of the research brigade were requested by telephone by a reliable anonymous source. The source reported that a group of youths was robbing passersby coming from a Wave shop opposite the Guinaw Rail mosque.
The police immediately rushed to the scene where they spotted a group of nine individuals who, as soon as they noticed the presence of the police, attempted to flee in turn. However, thanks to their vigilance and rapid response, the brigade managed to arrest them all.
Damning discoveries
The search of the premises yielded some disturbing discoveries. According to Seneweb sources close to the prosecutor's office, the police seized a bottle of whiskey and bottles of cellulose products, as well as electronic cigarettes.
When questioned about this discovery, none of the nine suspects were able to provide convincing explanations, all being in a state of advanced intoxication.
They were then brought before the Pikine-Guédiawaye High Court on Monday, October 6, where they will have to answer for their actions in court.
