Guinguinéo : 2 pères de famille arrêtés avec 23 kg de yamba par la BRS de Kaolack
As part of the fight against transnational organized crime, the Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS) of Kaolack, under the OCRTIS, arrested two individuals in possession of 23 kilograms of Indian hemp, commonly known as yamba.
The operation took place on the night of January 3rd, around 9 p.m., on the unpaved road linking Guinguinéo to Diendé, according to Seneweb sources. The suspects were intercepted at the edge of the town of Guinguinéo while attempting to transport the drugs.
The suspects have been identified as G. Sow, a farmer, married to two wives and father of 11 children, and MD Sow, a shepherd, married to three wives and father of three children. They are suspected of being involved in a drug trafficking network.
At the end of the investigation carried out by the BRS elements, the two suspected traffickers were brought before the Kaolack prosecutor's office on January 5 for the purposes of the judicial procedure.
This seizure is part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen the fight against drug trafficking and criminal networks in the central region of the country.
