HLM : un homme retrouvé mort dans une voiture abandonnée, la drogue découverte près lui alimente les spéculations
SOM is shocked. Through the window of an abandoned Kia in front of his house, on his way home from work, he glimpses an unconscious figure lying in the back of the vehicle. He opens the door and discovers it is the lifeless body of his brother, from whom the family had had no news since the previous evening. It was last Friday, around 9:35 p.m.
The police and firefighters were alerted. The usual findings revealed no traces of physical violence on the body, but the search of the passenger compartment gave investigators a lead: "the police discovered two meticulously rolled joints of Indian hemp as well as residues of this same drug scattered on the seat," reports L'Observateur, which revealed this story in its edition this Monday.
"Death by overdose is becoming the leading theory," the newspaper reports. "The prosecutor at the Dakar High Court has been notified. He has ordered the transfer of the body to the morgue at the Idrissa Pouye Hospital in Grand-Yoff for an autopsy, the results of which are awaited to answer the crucial question: did the young man succumb to excessive drug use?"
SOM told investigators that his brother hadn't come home the night before his body was discovered and that he wasn't answering his calls. "The investigation is actively continuing in the Hlm-Biscuiterie district to reconstruct the victim's movements during the last 24 hours before his death and to identify potential drug suppliers in the area," concludes the newspaper from the Groupe Futurs Médias.
