« Il y a le feu » : panique chez Farba Ngom après un début d’incendie
Farba Ngom had a major scare. In its Tuesday edition, L'Observateur reports that a small fire caused panic last night at the MP's home in Almadies. A video showing a child shouting "there's a fire!" quickly circulated, mobilizing activists and supporters of the MP-mayor of Agnam, who is currently being held in the Special Pavilion despite several medical opinions against his continued detention.
The fire is believed to have been caused by a short circuit, apparently triggered by an extension cord used to charge a mobile phone. Damage was limited, with only a television and an air conditioner in one bedroom affected, according to the same source.
"The fire, which had started to lick the curtains, was quickly brought under control thanks to the swift intervention of the residents and neighbors," reassured the newspaper of the Groupe Futurs Médias. It noted that there was more fear than harm, as the incident caused no injuries or major damage.
