Ils squattent durant 4 mois une maison et justifient : "On croyait que le propriétaire est parti en Guinée"
Baye Dame Niang, Demba Fall and a third accomplice on the run were found guilty of illegally occupying T. Ndong's house and committing acts of violence against him.
It all began after the death of Mr. Ndong's wife. No longer wishing to live in his home, he would stop by from time to time to check on the condition of the place. But upon returning from a four-month mission, he made a bitter discovery: the front door had been smashed.
"I asked the neighbors who had opened the house? They told me they saw three people living there," the owner said.
According to him, the intruders had taken over his room and were even using his personal belongings. They even took his mattress out into the courtyard to lie on. He also claims to have found feminine objects, which cast doubt on his mind. He told the judges that he believed his squatters were aggressors, given the loot kept in one of the rooms.
The defendants, for their part, claim that they believed the house was abandoned and that the owner had left the country for Guinea. They admit, however, to having slept there after finding the door open.
The story took a violent turn when Mr. Ndong tried to bring Baye Dame Niang to the police, who then beat him.
For the prosecutor, there was no doubt that the facts were established: trespass, damage, occupation without right or title, and violence. He called for the application of the law.
The court followed the requisitions and sentenced Baye Dame Niang and Demba Fall to 45 days in prison.

Si c'était en France elle avait perdu sa maison et serait même contrainte de dédommager ses squatteurs. Que justice soit faite!
