Intersyndicale de l'Administration : Grève générale et marche nationale, face à l’"indifférence incompréhensible et inacceptable de l’État"
The inter-union group representing public sector workers has announced a new 48-hour general strike on December 15 and 16, 2025, as well as a national march on December 18. The unions denounce the government's inaction and demand that its commitments be honored, particularly the payment of housing allowances.
Meeting on Saturday, December 13, with its various general secretaries present, the Inter-Union of Public Administration Workers assessed the second phase of its action plan. Union leaders welcomed the strict adherence to the 48-hour strike call, which was widely followed throughout the country.
However, the inter-union group deplores and condemns in the strongest possible terms the government's attitude, characterized by its persistent silence. This stance is tantamount to a lack of consideration and respect for the trade unions, especially since no official reaction has been recorded following the workers' mobilization.
Faced with what it calls incomprehensible and unacceptable indifference, the inter-union group has decided to move to the third phase of its action plan. It has therefore declared a 48-hour general strike, renewable, on Monday, December 15 and Tuesday, December 16, 2025, across the entire country. A national march is also planned for December 18, in collaboration with the Federation of Health Unions (F2S).
The inter-union group also draws attention to the critical situation of economic actors in the sectors concerned, heavily affected by the lack of reaction from the State, a situation which accentuates their precariousness and plunges the economy further into a gloom deemed unprecedented.
In the same vein, she calls on members of parliament to ensure the effective execution of expenditures authorized through the supplementary budget law. Failure to comply with this obligation, the unions warn, would undermine the credibility of Parliament and the budgetary integrity of the state.
The inter-union group also suspects the existence of regulatory maneuvers aimed at rendering the LFR obsolete at the end of the budget year.
At the heart of the demands is the payment of five months of housing allowance, a commitment made by the government. In this regard, the inter-union group recalls the recent statement by the Minister of Finance and Budget during the vote on the budget for the Ministry of Public Service, announcing the imminent signing of the decree within a week.
Finally, the Inter-union group warns that, faced with the continued silence of the State, it will pursue the struggle with determination, responsibility and commitment, until the demands are fully met.
Before any further escalation, she urges the government one last time to respect the commitments contained in the Social Stability Pact for inclusive and sustainable growth.
