Journée mondiale du souvenir des victimes d'accidents : 28 morts et plus de 1 000 blessés dénombrés à Kaolack
Twenty-eight deaths and over a thousand injuries. This is the chilling toll of road accidents in 2025 revealed by the National Road Safety Agency (Anaser). This figure is alarming and outrageous, especially as stakeholders in the sector are ramping up awareness campaigns to remind road users of the urgent need to respect the Highway Code.
In Kaolack, during the World Day of Remembrance for Accident Victims, Ass Malick Ba, the head of the Central division of Anaser, said of the authorities' ambition to reduce the number of accidents to zero by 2030. An ambition commensurate with the human tragedy experienced each year by the affected families.
