Kadia Sall : «Halima Gadji et moi…»
Kadia Sall has moved from in front of the camera to behind it for her directorial debut, "Judduwaat." Halima Gadji, her recently deceased colleague and fellow actress, was aware of the project. "She was the first person I spoke to about it," the former model revealed in an interview published this Thursday in L'Observateur, referring to her relationship with the actress who played Marième Dial in the series "Maîtresse d'un homme marié" (Mistress of a Married Man).
Kadia Sall continued: "She encouraged me, telling me I had a mission. We had a rather private relationship and I didn't flaunt it. There were times when I would call her to give her advice and vice versa. She was someone who gave me a lot of respect; she called me big sister."
The director confessed that it took her "three days to accept her death": "I had to go see the family and go to the cemetery for the first time to heal from her passing. [...] Halima's passing was a real blow."
