Kaolack : un vendeur de moutons sauvagement agressé par des voleurs
Attackers and other malicious individuals seize every opportunity to commit their crimes. Sidy Ndiaye, a resident of the village of Thiakhalar in the commune of Khelcom Birame and a sheep seller by trade, has just become a victim. He was brutally attacked by a gang of thugs a few weeks before Eid al-Adha, around 3:00 a.m.
According to reports, four unidentified individuals, suspected of being cattle thieves, broke into the compound where the sheep were being kept. The victim, known as "tefanké" and accustomed to selling his animals at the Kaolack livestock market as well as in the weekly markets of Ndiaffate and surrounding areas, reportedly heard suspicious noises inside his home while the entire family was fast asleep.
While attempting to pursue the assailants, Sidy Ndiaye was attacked with a machete by one of the perpetrators who was hiding in a corner of the family compound. Seriously wounded in the head, he was rushed to the El Hadji Ibrahima Niass Regional Hospital in Kaolack, where he is currently receiving intensive care.
