Kaolack : Un influenceur arrêté après avoir traité les policiers d'escrocs et de voleurs
Yesterday, Sunday, the Urban Security Service of the Kaolack central police station arrested H. Sène, a 29-year-old influencer living in Boustane. His crime? Posting a video on TikTok in which he openly offended police officers. H. Sène made the mistake of sharing an inflammatory video on his account.
In front of the camera, the influencer doesn't mince his words: he calls the members of the Kaolack central police station's investigation unit crooks and thieves. These serious accusations were made publicly in front of his followers.
It all starts with a routine check
But where does this anger come from? The story dates back to the night of October 22nd to 23rd, around 2 a.m. H. Sène was traveling with two other people, one of whom was a woman. The police stopped him to check his identity and driving documents. This didn't please the influencer, who decided to settle his scores on social media, accusing the officers of dishonest behavior.
Arrested by the police, H. Sène is confronted with his own statements. Investigators ask him to prove that the police officers are crooks and thieves, as he claims.
The sheepish influencer admitted he had no concrete evidence to support his claims. Realizing the gravity of his situation, he apologized to the national police, according to Seneweb's sources. But the damage was done: the video was viewed, shared, and the comments made are now public.
Witnesses contradict the influencer
The investigators didn't stop there. They questioned the two people who accompanied H. Sène during the nighttime check. Their testimonies, recorded in the official report, were unanimous: they completely contradicted the influencer's version. Both witnesses stated that the police officer who stopped them demonstrated professionalism and understanding. Far from mistreating or defrauding them, the officer acted correctly in the performance of his duties.
Better still, the witnesses reveal an important detail: after they apologized that night, the police officer let them go. A gesture that, according to them, demonstrates the officer's benevolence, the opposite of the portrait painted by H. Sène.
In light of these facts, the justice system is serious. H. Sène was taken into custody yesterday, Sunday, for public defamation and attacking the honor and image of the national police. The influencer could be brought before the prosecutor this Tuesday.
