Kaolack : Un Sierra-léonais attaqué en plein sommeil, sa chambre incendiée
A criminal act of rare violence occurred on the night of Monday, September 29, 2025, in the Sing-Sing neighborhood of Kaolack. T. Bindu, a 25-year-old Sierra Leonean mason, was assaulted while sleeping with his son.
Night attack and arson
According to the victim's statements, the incident took place around 2 a.m. Two individuals entered his room and set fire to his mattress and other objects using gasoline, while T. Bindu and his son were asleep, according to Seneweb sources.
Spontaneous statement at the police station
At 2:40 a.m., the Sierra Leonean spontaneously reported to the Kaolack central police station to report the fire in his room. Immediately, members of the Urban Security Investigation Brigade went to the scene with him to carry out the usual investigations.
At the scene, the police observed the complete fire of the mattress and other objects belonging to the victim.
Theft and identification of the attackers
In addition to the arson, T. Bindu revealed that the attackers stole a sum of one hundred thousand (100,000) CFA francs as well as his passport before fleeing.
Crucial point of the investigation: the victim claims to be able to identify the two individuals who set fire to his room.
An investigation has been opened by the police to find the perpetrators of this particularly serious attack.
