Kaolack : un maître coranique de 54 ans retrouvé poignardé au ventre
On the morning of May 25, 2026, around 8:00 AM, the Kaolack police station was alerted to a man who had been stabbed in the stomach in front of the SDPP gas station in Tabagoye. Officers dispatched to the scene discovered the victim: Mr. Diop, 54 years old, a Quranic teacher residing at the address. He had a stab wound to the abdomen, and traces of blood were found at the scene, according to Seneweb sources.
It was PDDiop, 41, who identified himself as a friend of the victim, who raised the alarm. He stated that he found Mr. Diop lying on the ground, a few meters from his home, covered in blood. He immediately contacted emergency services, who transported the victim to the El Hadji Ibrahima Niass Regional Hospital for medical treatment.
According to the attending physician, the victim's life is not in danger. A police investigation has been opened.
