Kédougou : une candidate au CAP évacuée après un malaise à l’issue des délibérations
An incident marred the vocational certificate (CAP) examination session this morning at the Alpha Mamadou Sadio Ba elementary school in the Kédougou district. A candidate fell ill shortly after the results of her examination before the inspection committee were announced.
According to information gathered on site, the candidate had just completed her practical exam before the jury, who evaluated her teaching performance over several hours. Following deliberations, she was not declared successful, the examiners deeming that some lessons had not been presented satisfactorily from a pedagogical standpoint.
Deeply affected by this decision, the candidate reportedly left the room abruptly, visibly in shock. In her haste, she tripped and fell, sustaining a minor head injury.
Alerted, members of the 62nd Fire and Rescue Company of Kédougou quickly responded to provide assistance. After receiving initial treatment at the scene, she was transported to the hospital for further medical care.
More of a scare than anything serious, according to emergency services, who indicated that the candidate's condition was not a cause for major concern. This incident, however, serves as a reminder of the intense psychological pressure that professional exams can place on candidates, particularly during the practical tests that are crucial to their careers.
