A major raid was carried out this Sunday by members of the Kédougou Central Police Station Brigade. At around 4:30 p.m., a disabled individual was arrested in the Togoro district for drug trafficking, following the use of operational intelligence.
A search of his home uncovered a barrel carefully hidden in a bedroom. Inside, investigators seized:
15 blocks of Indian hemp each weighing one kilogram,
160 Indian hemp cones,
18 packets of Tramadol tablets (250 mg), or 180 tablets in total, 3 pairs of scissors and 3 knives, as well as a sum of 3,000 FCFA according to Seneweb sources.
The suspect, identified as AOSow, 35, admitted to owning the products. He told investigators he had purchased the goods from a Malian supplier for 3 million CFA francs.
Placed in police custody, he will have to answer for the facts of trafficking in Indian hemp and prohibited pharmaceutical products.
