Khadim Bâ de Locafrique hospitalisé au pavillon spécial : Le forum du Justiciable tire la sonnette d’alarme
The Forum of the Justiciable (Fj) is raising the alarm about the health of Khadim Ba, CEO of Locafrique, who is currently hospitalized in the special ward of Le Dantec Hospital. In a press release seen by Seneweb, the Forum "calls on the financial investigating judge to grant Mr. Khadim Ba provisional release."
Babacar Bâ and his colleagues point out in their statement that detention in a hospital, even with occasional care, cannot guarantee the continuity and quality of the treatments essential for his survival and recovery. They argue that "Khadim Ba's health requires constant medical monitoring, which is incompatible with detention."
They invoke the fundamental right to health, enshrined in the Senegalese constitution and international conventions, which mandate that every sick person receive appropriate care. Furthermore, the Forum of the Justiciable emphasizes that "the requirement to deliver justice is entirely compatible with respect for fundamental rights and human dignity, and Khadim Ba offers every guarantee of legal representation."
