Kolda : la naissance simultanée de deux triplés révèle un élan de générosité
The Kolda Regional Hospital was the scene of an unusual event: the birth of two sets of triplets on the same day. This double birth sparked both wonder and a sense of urgency among the medical staff and patients.
But behind this joy, some difficult realities remain. One of the mothers, from Diaobé, gave birth in a context marked by the absence of her husband, who had left for abroad several months without any news. Faced with medical expenses she could not bear alone, she quickly received unexpected support. Those accompanying her at the hospital rallied to provide her with financial and emotional assistance, demonstrating a true spirit of solidarity.
Upon learning of the situation, the hospital's director general, Dr. Makhan Danfakha, met with the patient to express the hospital's support. He assured her that all necessary measures would be taken to ensure she received adequate care and returned home in dignified conditions.
This surge of generosity was reinforced by the gesture of a business operator, Bouba Konta, who offered milk for the newborns, three boys.
Meanwhile, the other family, who welcomed three girls, also has to deal with the practical demands of a multiple birth. They have therefore expressed a need for support to better cope with this new responsibility.
