Kounoune : 2 personnes arrêtées par la DSCOS pour occupation illégale de terrain et détention de drogue

The Rufisque DSCOS zonal brigade arrested two individuals in a case of illegal occupation of land in Kounoune. Indian hemp and bladed weapons were seized during the operation.

This arrest follows a complaint filed by a woman holding a lease on land located in Kounoune.

The case began when the commander of the Rufisque DSCOS brigade dispatched a patrol to the scene of the reported offense. The first individual found on the scene was ordered to stop construction work and report to the appropriate authorities with his supporting documents. Despite promising to comply with the instructions, the man chose to disappear.

But not admitting defeat, the latter hired workers led by a man named C. Touré to continue the work clandestinely, taking advantage of the night to escape controls.

An effective surveillance system

Having learned of this scheme, the brigade commander set up a surveillance system around the disputed land. This led to the arrest in flagrante delicto of C. Touré and a certain B. Kientega, a foreign national.

The suspects' suspicious behavior and the evidence against them prompted investigators to search their respective homes. This operation resulted in the seizure of Indian hemp and bladed weapons, thus worsening their legal situation.

The two defendants are being prosecuted for criminal association, illegal occupation of land belonging to others, violation of a summons from the DSCOS and complicity, possession and use of Indian hemp and possession of bladed weapons.

Brought before the High Court, C. Touré and B. Kientega were placed in custody.
