Le boulevard de la Libération rebaptisé boulevard Président Abdoulaye Wade : Le PDS salue un geste de haute portée symbolique
The Senegalese Democratic Party (PDS) welcomed with deep emotion and great satisfaction the decision of the municipality of Dakar-Plateau to rename Liberation Boulevard President Abdoulaye Wade Boulevard.
In a statement sent to Seneweb, the party founded by former head of state Abdoulaye Wade welcomed this initiative, which it described as a strong act of national recognition for a man who devoted his entire life to serving Senegal and the African continent.
"This symbolic gesture, inscribed in the heart of the capital, represents a strong act of national recognition for a man who, throughout his life, put his intelligence, his courage and his vision at the service of Senegal and Africa," the press release reads.
The PDS also expressed its gratitude to the mayor of Dakar-Plateau and his municipal team, believing that this decision reflects a republican desire to salute the work of one of the greatest builders of the Senegalese nation.

C'est au port de Dakar, après la rue " mal enfant " si tu prendre une bière 🍺 il y'a le Bar Alex là bas ! 😅
Ok, pas de rue pour Maitre Babacar Sèye. Mais donc il faut aussi une rue Clédor Sène, au Plateau, tant qu'on y est ! Et une autre rue Assane Diop et Pape Ibrahima Diakhaté puisque Abdoulaye Wade, ndeyou mbil gui, il en a apres un stade et que Macky en a aussi grace a ce meme Ndoye.

Wade est différent de l’exilé de Marrakech qui s’est donné un nom de rue alors qu’il était encore au pouvoir, il se sert au lieu d’attendre qu’on le sert et c pas cool

Il y'a déjà un stade à son nom et pourquoi en rajouter un boulevard ?
Senghor a une rue, un stade, un aéroport non ?
Pourquoi on ne donne que des noms de marabouts et de politiciens à nos rues? Triste car ces deux catégories sont trés contestables
