Lutte contre le trafic de stupéfiants : 4 kg de chanvre indien saisis à Dianah Malary
A new drug seizure has just been made by law enforcement in the Sédhiou region. During a night patrol carried out this morning at 2:30 a.m. in the Diana Bah area (near the commune of Dianah Malary), officers from the local station intercepted a suspicious individual riding a motorcycle.
The individual, identified as O. Baldé, is a 28-year-old farmer residing in Saré, in the commune of Niagha (Goudomp department). Married and a father of three, the suspect was transporting four kilograms of cannabis. According to initial findings of the investigation, he had left the Fogny area and was attempting to reach Guinea-Bissau to sell his illicit merchandise.
His suspicious behavior at the anchor point immediately alerted the patrolling officers. Caught red-handed in possession of the product, O. Baldé was taken to the gendarmerie unit for further legal proceedings.
