LUTTE CONTRE LES ARNAQUES: QNET rejette les allégations de trafic, avertit le public contre l’usage abusif de son nom
QNET has categorically rejected any allegations linking the company to human trafficking, exploitation, or abuse of individuals. The company expressed deep concern over reports involving Senegalese nationals who were allegedly deceived by false promises of travel or employment abroad, emphasizing that such acts are criminal scams perpetrated by individuals illegally using the QNET name.
QNET emphasizes that it does not offer jobs in exchange for money, visas, overseas placements, or investment schemes. Any individual or group making such promises while claiming affiliation with QNET is acting fraudulently. The company has consistently urged the public to exercise caution and independently verify any opportunity presented in its name before engaging in it.
Commenting on the issue, Biram Fall, QNET's vice president for sub-Saharan Africa, said:
“QNET is deeply saddened by reports of individuals who have been misled and harmed by false representations made in our name. We wish to be unequivocal: QNET does not promise jobs, visas, or investment returns. Anyone making such claims is not authorized by the company and should be reported immediately to the appropriate authorities.”
In response to the rise in scam incidents falsely linked to its brand in West Africa, QNET signed a memorandum of understanding in July 2025 with Ghana's Economic and Organised Crimes Office (EOCO) to support efforts to dismantle criminal networks engaged in scams and human trafficking under the guise of QNET.
As a result of this collaboration, joint operations conducted in October resulted in the rescue of 26 victims of human trafficking and the arrest of nine suspects in Kasoa, Ghana.
This was followed in November by another coordinated operation which resulted in the arrest of 25 suspects and the rescue of 295 victims linked to employment and trafficking scams falsely associated with the QNET brand.
In Ghana, QNET supported law enforcement efforts by sharing information with the Ghana Immigration Service, which contributed to actions against individuals involved in trafficking and recruitment scams falsely linked to the company. These cases resulted in prosecutions under Ghanaian law, including prison sentences and other legal penalties.
Between 2022 and 2025, QNET received and pursued more than 150 complaints related to such breaches, working closely with the authorities to address each case.
In parallel with enforcement efforts, QNET has launched its QNET Against Scams public awareness campaign in several West African countries, including Senegal, to educate the public about job and visa scams abusing its name.
Building on the progress made in Ghana, the company stated its intention to strengthen engagement with government agencies, regulators and other stakeholders in Senegal to address brand misuse and support similar prevention and enforcement outcomes.
Members of the public are encouraged to verify any opportunity claiming to be associated with QNET by contacting the company directly via its compliance hotline on WhatsApp at +233 2566 30005 or by email at network.integrity@qnet.net.
QNET reaffirmed its commitment to working constructively with the media, law enforcement agencies and communities in Senegal and the region to combat scams, protect individuals from harm and clearly dissociate its name from illegal activities carried out by unauthorized actors.
