Magal de Porokhane : La Ziarra et la contribution du Crédit mutuel du Sénégal (CMS)
In the lead-up to the Magal of Porokhane, a delegation from Crédit Mutuel du Sénégal (CMS), led by its Managing Director, Jean Jacques Diop, paid a Ziarra (pilgrimage) to Serigne Bass Porokhane. Accompanied by a large delegation, CMS, through its foundation, contributed to the successful organization of the event celebrating the mother of the founder of Mouridism.

"As usual, we came to make our contribution by providing food. Crédit Mutuel is very interested in everything related to religious communities," said Jean Jacques Diop, Director General of Cms.

To allow pilgrims to carry out their transactions without any problems, Mr. Diop pointed out that one of their branches, located 7 km from Porokhane, through its digital offering, gives all its members the possibility of accessing their accounts every day, 24 hours a day. He particularly emphasized the opportunities offered by digital technology to members wherever they are.

Serigne Ba, President of the CMS Foundation, for his part, reiterated the IFD's mission: "Crédit Mutuel du Sénégal is an institution that belongs to the Senegalese people, which is why we are in Porokhane to answer the call of religious leaders and offer our support and solidarity to the organizers. Our foundation was created in 2011 with the aim of supporting populations and communities, particularly religious ones. This type of action strengthens the impact we have within religious communities," he stated. According to him, the foundation supports the education, health, and social sectors through its support of religious communities and daaras (Koranic schools).

Note that the donation consists of rice, mineral water, oil, among other food products.
