Affaire Mame Gor "Mouma" : Le tik-tokeur "Cheikh Abdou nugum-nugum" arrêté à Touba

Well-known on the social network Tik-Tok, Baye Lahat Ndiaye, alias "Cheikh Abdou nugum-nugum" is under arrest! The famous comedian was taken into custody at the Touba special police station where he was summoned this Thursday at 11 a.m.

According to Seneweb sources, "nugum-nugum" is being prosecuted for spreading false news and making speeches likely to discredit the justice system. He could be brought before the Diourbel High Court next Monday.

An arrest linked to the Mame Gor "Mouma" case

His arrest is linked to the Mame Gor "Mouma" case, named after the deaf-mute Mame Gor Gningue who was held in custody in Diourbel for years for rape.

Lynched on social networks by supporters of the carter Gningue, the victim in this morals case filed a complaint against X on the table of Chief Commissioner Diégane Sène, head of service of the special police station of Touba.

The victim's complaint

During her hearing, she said she noticed that individuals were speaking on the social network TikTok, falsely accusing her of having unjustly imprisoned Mame Gor Gningue, whom she had accused of rape.

Following the exploitation of videos posted on the platform, Baye Lahat Ndiaye, alias "Cheikh Abdou nugum-nugum," was identified as the author of one of the incriminating videos. The incriminated TikToker had made serious accusations against the complainant and the justice system.

TikToker's Confessions

Summoned and then questioned on the record, Cheikh Abdou, a scrap metal dealer by profession, admitted to being the author of the video in which he denounced the conditions of detention of Mame Gor Gningue, stating that he had been detained for three years without trial and maintaining that the case had been referred without any evidence.

When asked about his motives, the TikToker claimed he was denouncing the detention conditions of the deaf-mute man, who has been in prison for three years without trial. He also stated that his intention was to support him.

Attempt at justification

However, he admitted that he was unaware of the possible consequences of his comments on the image of the victim's family.

"The detainee's uncle had stated that his nephew was brought before the court without evidence. And I repeated his comments in my video," he attempted to justify himself during his interrogation, according to Seneweb sources.

This case illustrates the excesses of social networks where unverified accusations can damage the reputation of victims and hinder the proper functioning of justice.
