Mbacké : un agresseur attaque un moto-taximan avec une machette, la foule le lynche
On March 17, 2026, at 11:00 PM, officers from the Mbacké urban police station's investigation unit, led by Commissioner Alioune Fall, arrested T. Fall, 26, a metalworker residing in the Darou Khoudoss neighborhood of Touba, who was passing through Mbacké. He is accused of robbery with violence and use of a bladed weapon.
The incident occurred at night. Mr. Niass, a motorcycle taxi driver in Jakarta, had picked up the accused and taken him to the Darou Salam neighborhood. Upon reaching the cemeteries, in the darkness, the passenger, T. Fall, asked him to stop. Taking advantage of the pause, he struck up a conversation with the victim about his work before suddenly attacking him with a broken bottle, inflicting a hip injury, according to Seneweb sources.
He then pulled out a machete concealed under his clothes and, under threat, forced the driver to abandon his motorcycle.
Alerted by the victim's cries for help, local residents quickly intervened. A crowd then turned on the suspect, who tried to take refuge in a nearby building under construction. There, he was apprehended and detained by the crowd until the arrival of the investigation unit.
Seriously injured in the lynching, T. Fall was rushed to the Mbacké health center for treatment, as requested by the authorities. Following his medical care, he was taken back to the police station and placed in custody. An investigation is underway.
