Décharge de Mbeubeuss : Un charretier et un chauffeur arrêtés en flagrant délit avec six bouteilles de carburant volé à des Chinois
On February 4, 2026, at approximately 1 p.m., the Malika district police station brought two individuals before the prosecutor for fuel theft committed at night using a vehicle. They are NN, 23 years old, a cart driver residing in Malika, and MA, 28 years old, a driver residing in Yeumbeul.
The police acted on the basis of operational intelligence indicating that a group of individuals were stealing fuel at the Chinese site located in the Mbeubeuss landfill.
The police raid on the scene led to the arrest of NN on his cart, in possession of two bottles containing fuel. After a brief interrogation, he confessed, stating that he had been hired by a man named Ablaye to transport the fuel to his workshop. He agreed to lead the investigators to the workshop.
Upon seeing the police vehicle, the individuals present in the workshop attempted to hide bottles under the garbage before fleeing. A search of the premises uncovered four more bottles containing fuel. Inside the workshop, the police found a truck with its fuel tank open.
It was at this point that MA appeared, claiming to be the truck driver. The two suspects were taken to the service headquarters, and the six fuel bottles were impounded at the police station, according to Seneweb sources.
After brief questioning, the two suspects admitted to the facts. However, MA reported the disappearance of 1,300,000 CFA francs that he had hidden in the truck and which was not found at the time of the arrest.
