Mbour : La prostituée avoue des rapports non protégés depuis plus d'un an, un réseau démantelé par la BR de Saly
The Saly research brigade (BR), under the jurisdiction of the Mbour company, dealt a severe blow to an organized network of pimping and clandestine prostitution operating in the town. Three individuals were arrested following a successful undercover operation conducted by gendarmes.
It all started during a routine patrol in the town of Mbour. The gendarmes received information indicating the existence of a structured network of pimping and clandestine prostitution, allegedly run by a certain M. Diabaye, 34 years old, a delivery man by trade and residing in the Darou Salam district, in complicity with the said D. Ndour, 40 years old, single and mother of three children.
Faced with these revelations, the brigade leaders acted swiftly. The investigation quickly confirmed their suspicions. To entrap the accused, an undercover gendarme posed as a client seeking paid sexual services. He contacted Mr. Diabaye, who, unsuspecting, offered him the services of F. Ndiaye, a 20-year-old single mother, for 10,000 CFA francs.
The pimp himself transported the young woman on his Jakarta motorcycle to the agreed meeting place. It was there that plainclothes police officers arrested them in the act.
Unequivocal confessions
Placed in police custody, F. Ndiaye confessed and named M. Diabaye and D. Ndour as her employers in this prostitution network, specifying that this situation had been going on for more than a year.
The young woman also confesses to not being in possession of a required health card and admits to having had unprotected sex with some of her clients, thus raising serious public health concerns.
Confronted with the facts and the statements of their accomplice, Mr. Diabaye and D. Ndour do not attempt to deny anything. They admit to the acts of which they are accused.
Following the operation, the three suspects were taken into custody on February 17, according to Seneweb sources close to the prosecutor's office. This Friday, they were brought before the public prosecutor at the Mbour High Court. Mr. Diabaye is being prosecuted for conspiracy and pimping, while D. Ndour and F. Ndiaye are charged with clandestine prostitution.
