Mbour : les membres d'une famille tabassent leur voisine enceinte
The Mbour District Court has examined a case of assault and battery (CBV) involving the Dia family, accused of attacking their pregnant neighbor, D. Sarr.
According to L'Observateur, which replayed the scene in its edition of Tuesday, September 30, the incident occurred on September 18 after B. Dia (16 years old), daughter of the family, slapped D. Sarr's younger brother. Alerted, the last roommate intervened, but the situation quickly escalated: the father, PA Dia, his wife, M. Diallo, and another daughter joined the altercation and allegedly violently hit D. Sarr, who was already heavily pregnant.
The victim, who received a medical certificate stating that she was temporarily incapacitated for work (ITT) for seven days, filed a complaint. Although the defendants denied the charges in court, the complainant maintained her accusations, but accepted their forgiveness after the mother apologized.
Found guilty of CBV, the father, his wife, and one of their daughters were sentenced to three months in prison, suspended. B. Dia, for her part, will be tried later by the juvenile court.
