Meurtre à Boune : Pluie de pierres sur les policiers, lors de l'exfiltration du suspect

On Monday, October 13, 2025, at around 3 p.m., chilling information reached the Yeumbeul-Comico district police station: a man had just been stabbed in a villa along the Boune road, on the way to Keur Massar. The police station's research brigade went to the scene to conduct initial investigations.

At the scene, the bloodhounds confirmed that the victim, Ibrahima Ka, had already been urgently evacuated by the firefighters. But the man died of his injuries during the journey to the hospital.

Investigators then arrested RS, the suspect's partner, who fled after the attack. But the neighbors' testimonies were clear: the man had not left the premises. The villa, a two-story building with nine bedrooms on the ground floor (seven of which were empty) and three apartments upstairs, became a crime scene. Officers systematically searched the building.

On the first floor, all the doors are locked. Suddenly, suspicious noises betray a human presence in one of the rooms. After identifying themselves and ordering the occupants to leave, the police officers break down the door, but without success. The fugitive, holed up inside, is subdued without excessive violence, according to Seneweb sources.

Scene of chaos: police targeted

As the police were busy transporting the suspect to the police station, a hostile and vindictive crowd, armed with stones and clubs, gathered around the police. Projectiles rained down on the officers and their vehicle. The demonstrators' objective was clear: to recover the alleged murderer and lynch him.

In this climate of extreme violence, only the calm and professionalism of the police prevented the worst. The suspect was ultimately safely taken to the police station, despite the surrounding hostility. Investigators later learned that the victim was the spokesperson for a dahira.

At the police station, the man arrested was named Z. Touré, born in 1991. He admitted the facts during his hearing. According to his statements, the tragedy was linked to the victim's unpaid rent. An argument ensued, which escalated, leading to the fatal stabbing.

The suspect lived in France with his mother before returning to Senegal a year ago, fleeing family problems. He also reportedly served time in prison in France for knife assault. Z. Touré was later taken into custody for murder.

The case has been referred to the public prosecutor and the investigation is continuing.
