Cité Millionnaire : un client séquestré et filmé pour extorsion, la police intervient
A night patrol from the Grand-Yoff police station brought an end to the nightmare of FA Kalukumbi, an economist from Kinshasa, on Thursday evening in the Millionaire City neighborhood. Upon entering a residence reported for clandestine prostitution activities, officers discovered the man being held captive by three Nigerian women.
According to L'Observateur, which broke the story, it all started with a paid sexual encounter between the Congolese expert and one of the women, BD Favour. Believing her client to be wealthy, the sex worker allegedly conspired with two accomplices to extort money from him. When he categorically refused, they forcibly undressed him and filmed him naked, threatening to release the footage to blackmail him. A violent altercation ensued, alerting the detectives operating in the area.
A suspicious arsenal was discovered.
The search of the premises revealed the extent of the prostitution ring. Investigators seized 43 condoms, syringes for anal injections, abortion pills, and 224,000 FCFA, the newspaper reports. Most importantly, the same source notes, the phone of one of the suspects contained irrefutable evidence of the victim's ordeal: video footage showing the economist being held at gunpoint by his captors for the night.
Collective custody
Despite their attempts to turn the tables by accusing the client of attempted rape, the three women were taken into custody on charges of conspiracy, kidnapping, attempted extortion, and illegally collecting sexually explicit material. The Congolese expert, although the primary victim, is also being prosecuted for inciting debauchery and mutual assault, concludes the newspaper of the Future Media Group.
