On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at around 8 a.m., members of the investigation brigade of the Parcelles-Assainies district police station intervened in the Mixta housing project following a suspected theft of a television. On the scene, the police arrested V. Keita, residing at Unit 7 of Parcelles-Assainies, who was in possession of the device. When questioned about the origin of the television, he stated that it belonged to him and that he had simply taken it from his home.

A revealing excavation

Investigators then decided to take the suspect to the room he rents in the Mixta housing project to verify his statements. It was during a thorough search that the situation took another turn, with the discovery of a pink bag containing 31 cones of Indian hemp, newspaper, and a pair of scissors, equipment generally used for packaging drugs, according to Seneweb sources.

Faced with this discovery, V. Keïta tried to exonerate himself by claiming that the drugs had been entrusted to him by a friend named Michel, without giving further details about his identity.

The suspect was taken to the Parcelles-Assainies district police station where he was taken into custody. He is being prosecuted for theft, possession, and trafficking of Indian hemp. The television and the bag containing the drugs were confiscated for the purposes of the investigation. The public prosecutor has been informed of this case.
