Mort de Abdoulaye Bâ : La demande officielle de sa famille à l’endroit des autorités
Following Abdoulaye Bâ's burial, his family held a press conference on Thursday. The deceased's uncle, Mamadou Diouldé Bâ, designated as spokesperson, delivered the family's message to the country's authorities.
"The family would like the judicial authorities of this nation, at least, to shed light on the circumstances of Abdoulaye's death. To date, we have not been informed about the circumstances of Abdoulaye's death at Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar," said Mr. Ba, standing next to the victim's mother.
The family spokesperson affirmed that they have accepted God's will. "Because, whatever we say or do, Allah is above all and when He decides, the decision is irreversible. So we have accepted Abdoulaye's death and we ask Allah to grant him paradise," prayed Mamadou Diouldé Bâ.
He made a point of thanking the university and student community. Abdoulaye Bâ's family also expressed their gratitude to the Senegalese people: "He was buried yesterday. We were truly very moved because there was an extraordinary turnout," Mr. Bâ testified.
The family, who also thanked the authorities, reported that the dean of the medical school visited them, as well as officials from the University Social Services Center of Dakar (COUD). Dentists from the dental institute also attended to them.
“Today all of Senegal is in mourning and everyone deplores what has happened. We pray to Allah to protect us from this kind of situation in the future in Senegal,” prayed Mr. Bâ.
