Cri du cœur de Moussa Tine : "J’ai honte. J’ai honte de nous"
"We are incapable of change and a break with the past. After Balla Gaye and Fallou Sène, this is the third time a student has died following a change of government." This heartfelt cry comes from former MP Moussa Tine.
He reminds us that "human life is sacred. It must be beyond the reach of political stupidity." And "don't tell me for a second that this is related to the reality of power management. It's simply related to the madness inherent in the management of power."
"How," Moussa Tine asks, "can young police officers be sent to invade the social space of the campus? Who gave the order and for what reason, since there were no demonstrations taking place when the police arrived in the area?"
According to the former parliamentarian, "what we saw was technically neither a law enforcement operation nor a law enforcement operation."
He hopes that there will be resignations and people will be dismissed and that all guarantees of a serious investigation will be given.
Meanwhile, he continued, "silence and personal introspection are in order for everyone: a young man who relied on those in power for protection has just lost his life." Abdoulaye Ba, he lamented, was about to become a doctor of medicine and would be the sole support for his family, who have been mourning their hope, their champion, since last night.
