Ndiaganiao : Un berger déféré au parquet pour injures publiques et menaces de mort contre un cultivateur
A tragedy was narrowly averted between 37-year-old herder Kor Ngary Dieng and 45-year-old farmer Adama Fall. Without the swift intervention of witness Djilène Ndione, the herder would have fatally attacked Adama Fall, who had accused him of letting his animals into his field. The incident occurred around 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025, in Fao, a village in the commune of Ndiaganiao. The farmer had chased away the animals, which had begun to graze on the peanut straw. Enraged, the herder, who had been observing the scene, began insulting Adama before threatening to kill him.
An argument broke out between them, and the shepherd brandished his machete. Another farmer, named Djilène Ndione, who witnessed the scene, intervened, preventing the shepherd Kor Ngary Dieng from attacking the farmer.
Adama Fall reported the matter to the Ndiaganiao gendarmerie, and the accused was arrested. When questioned as a witness, Djilène Ndione confirmed that the shepherd Kor Ngary Dieng had indeed threatened Adama Fall with death.
But Kor Ngary Dieng categorically denied these accusations, adding that the witness and the complainant are against him.
Nevertheless, he was brought before the prosecutor in Mbour for public insults and death threats.
