Ngor : La BRS de Dakar démantèle un réseau de trafic de crack, deux individus interpellés
Officers from the Dakar Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS), under the Central Office for the Repression of Illicit Drug Trafficking (OCRTIS), arrested two individuals on February 10, 2026, around 5:00 a.m. in Ngor, in possession of eight rocks of crack cocaine. The two suspects are KS, 32, a graphic designer residing in Rufisque, and MC, 47, a driver also residing in Rufisque.
These arrests follow a tip-off regarding a crack cocaine trafficking and consumption network in the Ngor district. Based on this information, a police operation was launched in the area.
It was the local neighborhood watch committee, made up of young people from the area commonly known as the "Yellow Vests," that played a decisive role in this case. During their night patrol, between 3:30 and 4:14 a.m., they spotted the two individuals behaving suspiciously. Immediately alerted, the BRS officers deployed to the scene proceeded to arrest them.
In addition to the eight crack cocaine rocks, investigators seized two iPhones and 40,000 CFA francs found in their possession, according to Seneweb sources. All of these items have been placed under seal.
The two suspects were taken into custody for conspiracy and possession for the purpose of drug use, after being notified of their right to legal counsel of their choice.
