Notto-Diobasse : 3 millions FCFA pour préparer les élites de la future Smart City
Mayor Alioune Sarr received representatives from student associations in the Notto-Diobasse district. This meeting, described as a valuable opportunity for strategic discussions and collaboration, was marked by the awarding of a grant of three million CFA francs.
For the city's mayor, this financial support is first and foremost an investment in the territory's human capital: "The grant we are giving you is not simply financial support. It is an investment in human capital, in knowledge, in discipline and in excellence," he stated to the students.

The university at the heart of the industrial strategy
The mayor reiterated three priorities: academic success, exemplary conduct, and community engagement. This vision is centered around the Notto Diobasse Smart City project, which includes the creation of an industrial park, a petrochemical complex, and a logistics hub connected to Thiès.
For Alioune Sarr, the university must absolutely produce the skills needed for the real economy: industrial engineers, maintenance technicians, energy specialists, and experts in industrial law. Every degree earned is considered a building block for local development.
By urging students to stay connected to their community, Alioune Sarr reiterated a strong conviction: "Industrialization begins at the university." In Notto-Diobasse, the ambition is clear: to prepare, starting today in the lecture halls, the engineers and decision-makers who will run the factories of tomorrow.
