AFFAIRE PAPE CHEIKH DIALLO ET CIE : LA GENDARMERIE CONFIRME SENEWEB ET LIVRE LES IMAGES DES 12 PRÉSUMÉS HOMOSEXUELS
The National Gendarmerie has confirmed the information given exclusively by Seneweb, concerning the arrest of 12 suspected homosexuals including Pape Cheikh Diallo and Djiby Dramé.
Twelve arrests for unnatural acts and HIV transmission
The Keur Massar Research Brigade arrested twelve individuals, all of Senegalese nationality, for criminal association, unnatural acts, voluntary transmission of HIV/AIDS through unprotected sexual intercourse and endangering the lives of others.
First arrest on February 4th
Following the exploitation of intelligence reporting the actions of an HIV-positive individual who continued to engage in unnatural acts, the elements of the Keur Massar Research Brigade conducted investigations which led to the arrest of the accused on February 4, 2026.
Subjected to an HIV/AIDS screening test upon requisition to a qualified person, the medical certificate issued by the doctor attests that the man in question is a carrier of the HIV/AIDS virus.
Damning confessions
When questioned, he confirmed that he was aware of his HIV-positive status and admitted to knowingly infecting about ten people, contacted in particular through WhatsApp groups.
Two of his partners arrested on the same day also stated that they were aware of their HIV-positive status, but continued to have unprotected sex with other partners, all men.
Further investigations led to the arrest of five more individuals on February 5 and four more on February 6, bringing the total number of people arrested to twelve.
Results of screening tests
Following the screening tests carried out, it appears that of the twelve people arrested, six are declared HIV positive, two are awaiting medical confirmation, while four have been declared HIV negative, Seneweb learned from the communiqué of the National Gendarmerie signed by Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye.
The National Gendarmerie is actively pursuing the investigation with a view to dismantling the entire network and determining all responsibilities.
