Just three days after the discovery of a lifeless body on the beach of the fishing village of Khondio on Friday, May 15, another tragedy was averted in a different fishing village. This village is located in the commune of Darou Khoudoss, in the department of Tivaouane.

This involved a canoe carrying migrants attempting to reach Europe, which landed on the beach of the village of Lite, about one kilometer from the well-known fishing village of Fass Boye, on the night of Monday, May 18th to Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, at approximately 11:00 PM. Before the arrival of the gendarmerie, the occupants of the canoe reportedly scattered, with the exception of a married woman and a mother of three.

According to the latter, the boat had departed from Kafountine, in the Ziguinchor region. After two days at sea, the pirogue's captain reportedly informed the adventurers on board that the engine could no longer continue the journey. He then decided to take them to Lite beach, in the Darou Khoudoss commune, where he ultimately abandoned them. A search will be launched to find the smugglers.

Le projet a bien réussi et a fait fuir les voleurs de l'argent public et du fmi qui étaient là juste pour s'enrichir avec leur clan politique familial.
