Pikine : 2 trafiquants arrêtés avec 1,8 kg de chanvre indien, leur chauffeur en fuite
On the night of Wednesday 17 to Thursday 18 September 2025, at around 3:55 a.m., an operation by the research brigade of the Pikine district police station led to the arrest of two suspected traffickers of Indian hemp.
It all started with the exploitation of a tip-off about an imminent drug delivery by individuals driving a black SUV. Upon arriving at the scene, the police spotted the vehicle.
But sensing the police presence, the driver, who had gotten out a moment earlier, fled. His two accomplices who remained on board were not so lucky.
The police arrested O. Diagne, born in 1995, a ceiling installer living in Pikine, rue 10, and MC Wade, born in 1989, an upholsterer living in Pikine Icotaf. A search of the vehicle revealed 1.8 kg of Indian hemp and various documents, including a driver's license in the name of D. Guèye and a vehicle registration certificate (CIAT) in the name of MD Bousso. The drugs and the seized documents were placed under seal.
The Public Prosecutor at the Pikine-Guédiawaye High Court has been informed. An investigation is underway to arrest the driver of the escaped SUV and determine the extent of the network.
