Pikine : Trois dealers, dont un Guinéen, arrêtés par la police

The Pikine district police station arrested three individuals as part of a crackdown on drug trafficking. These operations, conducted between December 17 and 20, 2025, resulted in the seizure of over 500 grams of cannabis, according to Seneweb sources.

Investigators arrested AD, 33, a farmer residing in the Tally Bou Mack neighborhood of Pikine. He was caught in possession of a bag containing four cones and 300 grams of Indian hemp, as well as 4,500 CFA francs.

During a brief questioning, AD maintained that the drugs were for his own personal use. He was taken into custody for offering and supplying cannabis.

Nine ice cream cones discovered in the bus station

On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, around 4 p.m., elements of the BR of the detachment of the Rapid Intervention and Support Company (CIRA), under the direction of Adjutant Diop, head of detachment, proceeded to arrest an individual in possession of narcotics.

During a foot patrol at the bus station, police officer ND noticed a suspicious odor near a bus. He approached and confronted CD, 26, a trainee driver residing in Keur Massar. A search revealed nine packets of marijuana in his possession.

Taken to the police station, he confessed to all the charges against him. The suspect and the seized product were handed over to the Pikine police station for the sale and distribution of cannabis.

200g seized during a patrol

During a patrol in the Pikine Tally Bou Mack area, investigators apprehended BB, a 34-year-old Guinean carpenter residing in Pikine Gazelle. The suspect was sitting on a motorcycle and attempted to flee as the officers approached. A pat-down search revealed a bag containing two small packages of marijuana concealed under his clothing. After weighing, the quantity was determined to be 200 grams.

When questioned briefly, BB denied owning the product and stated that the drugs had been given to him by someone named Ousmane, without providing further details. He was taken into custody for offering and supplying cannabis.

These arrests demonstrate the intensification of the fight against drug trafficking in the Pikine department. All those arrested have been brought before a judge.
