Port Autonome de Dakar et Douanes lancent la phase pilote de l’échange électronique des BADs
The Autonomous Port of Dakar (PAD), in collaboration with the General Directorate of Customs, announces the launch of the pilot phase of the electronic exchange of Delivery Orders (DOs) on January 2, 2026, via the Electronic Port Single Window. This initiative marks a decisive step in the digital transformation of the port logistics chain, aiming to strengthen the efficiency and competitiveness of the Senegalese platform.
As part of the modernization and complete digitization of port processes, this pilot phase demonstrates the authorities' commitment to digitizing the logistics chain. It follows the signing, on June 3, 2025, of the electronic data interchange protocol (PAD/DGD/DPW/GAINDE 2000). The objective is to automate the processing and transfer of port data between the Single Window and all terminal operators. This digital transformation will offer significant benefits to the port ecosystem, with tangible advantages for all stakeholders.
Streamlining operations: in the removal of goods;
Enhanced traceability: from end to end for better monitoring;
Optimal security: of data and transactions;
, Time and productivity gains: substantial for all players in the supply chain.
The General Directorate of the PAD invites shipping companies and all partners to designate their technical focal points before November 15, 2025 to ensure a successful transition.
