Prison de Bambey : le gris-gris de la détenue contenait de la drogue
MT Thiaw risks having her stay at the Bambey prison extended. This 47-year-old woman, married and mother of three, was arrested inside the prison for drug possession.
"According to statements from the director of the Bambey prison, it was during a check carried out by prison guards that the woman was found in possession of a gris-gris containing a ball of hashish and four pills," reports Libération, which gave the information.
In her defense, the newspaper reports, MT Thiaw claims "that the gris-gris was given to her by a woman, whose identity she doesn't know, to pass on to her brother, who is being held in the prison." "The accused was taken into custody for bringing prohibited items into the prison," the same source adds.
