Recrutements publics en 2026 : près de 18 000 emplois annoncés pour une enveloppe de 75,6 milliards de FCFA
During the examination of the amending finance bill (LFR2) in plenary session at the National Assembly, the Minister of Finance and Budget, Cheikh Diba, unveiled the government's main guidelines for public recruitment for the year 2026. In total, nearly 18,000 jobs are planned, for an estimated budgetary impact of 75.568 billion CFA francs.
According to the figures provided, these recruitments will concern several strategic sectors of the public administration, reflecting the State's desire to strengthen staff in the areas of security, education, health and territorial administration.
Breakdown by strategic sectors
The detailed forecasts show a priority given to the social and sovereign sectors:
National education : 5,700 contract teachers and professors.
Armed forces : 4,391 recruits.
Internal : 2,796 agents.
Health : 2,500 employees.
Justice : 850 agents.
Professional training : 500 agents.
Environment : 300 employees.
Finance and Budget : 205 agents.
Other ministerial departments are also involved, including fisheries, agriculture, energy, water resources, youth, family, microfinance, and the economy and planning. In addition to these recruitments, 194 students are being admitted to the National School of Administration (ENA), illustrating the commitment to preparing the next generation of state officials.
For Minister Cheikh Diba, all these commitments reflect a significant budgetary effort by the State within a context of streamlining public spending. The overall allocation of 75.6 billion FCFA aims to reconcile budgetary control with addressing the administration's pressing human resource needs.
These announcements, made in plenary session, are already generating high expectations, particularly among young graduates, in a country where the issue of employment remains a major economic and social challenge.
