Refus d'obtempérer à Diamaguène : Deux suspects à moto heurtent un policier qui s'en sort avec une ITT de 7 jours

The Diamaguène Sicap-Mbao district police station has taken two mechanics into custody for assault and battery resulting in a seven-day work incapacity (ITT) suffered by a police officer while he was on duty. The suspects, S. Diop, 21, and M. Diop, 19, were arrested under suspicious circumstances.

A refusal to comply that goes wrong

The incident occurred on the night of January 10-11, 2026, during a security operation in the Diamaguène area. Law enforcement officers had raided the TATA bus stop on line 78, a place known to be a hub for illicit activities.

During the operation, police officers spotted two individuals on a motorcycle carrying a bag whose contents aroused suspicion. Intending to conduct a routine check, the officers approached the suspects. The motorcyclist, S. Diop, refused to comply and deliberately drove at police officer M. Fall, according to Seneweb sources. The impact caused injuries to the officer, including a blow to his left thigh and various scratches.

The police officer was taken to the hospital where he received medical treatment and was given a seven-day sick leave.

Arrested, the two suspects were unable to explain the contents of their bag. Investigators discovered several pigeons inside. Questioned at the scene, S. Diop and M. Diop were unable to specify the number of birds they were transporting, nor their origin or destination.

Even more disturbing, the detectives also found in their possession a piece of fabric soaked in cellulose products.

Following the advice of Prosecutor Saliou Dicko, head of the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office, the two mechanics were taken into custody at the Diamaguène Sicap-Mbao district police station. A thorough investigation has been launched to shed light on this case and determine the exact circumstances of the incident, as well as the intended use of the pigeons and suspicious products found in their possession.

Il faut terminer la régularisation des deux -roues. Aucune moto sans immatriculation ne doit circuler dans ce pays.
Mais avec ce régime vendeur d'illusions, rien ne changera.
