Rentrée Solidaire 2025 : près de 200 enfants et jeunes soutenus par la Fondation Endeavour au Sénégal

On Saturday, September 27, the Endeavour Foundation organized its Back-to-School Solidarity Event simultaneously at its Sabodala-Massawa site and at its Dakar office.

An iconic annual event, Back to School Solidarity illustrates the Endeavour Group's commitment, through its Foundation, to education, equal opportunity, and human development. A truly unifying event, it brings together the Group's employees, local communities, and institutional partners around a common goal: investing in future generations.

“The start of the school year is a significant time for families, but it’s also a source of concern, especially in rural areas, given the financial burden. For the Endeavour Foundation, it’s more than just a symbolic moment: it’s an opportunity to reaffirm a very clear principle – leaving no one behind,” said Djaria Traoré, Executive Vice President, Operations and ESG .

Three programs, one ambition

Since its launch in 2022, the Solidarity Rent has supported several hundred children and young people in Senegal, from early childhood to higher education, through three structuring programs:

  1. "Golden Nuggets" : Each year, the Endeavour Foundation honors the children of employees who have obtained a diploma (CEPE, BEPC, BAC). These winners receive academic support and material grants to support their success. In 2025, 165 children were recognized in Senegal, bringing the number of beneficiaries to 462 since 2022.
  1. "Girls in School" : To prevent school dropouts, particularly in rural areas, the Endeavour Foundation awards four-year scholarships to young middle school girls from its impact areas. In 2025, 20 girls were supported, bringing the number of beneficiaries to 37 since 2022.
  1. "Elites of Tomorrow" : This program supports the most promising students from host communities. It combines university scholarships covering full fees and internships at the Group's mines. Launched in 2022 in Senegal, it currently benefits 46 students , including 4 Senegalese from villages near Sabodala, enrolled in renowned universities in Senegal and Ghana.

"Our ambition is to support every child from birth, to help them take the key steps to university, and thus to train a generation of responsible citizens and future managers for our regions. This is the whole point of the Solidarity Back to School," concluded Djaria Traoré .
