Retrait des couches Softcare : Ce que réclame l’association des boutiquiers
The Senegalese Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (ARP) has announced the immediate recall of Softcare brand diapers and sanitary napkins. This measure follows an inspection that revealed the presence of expired raw materials in the manufacturing process. The Senegalese Retailers Association has spoken out to express its position.
“What deeply worries us is that the company in question has still not reacted to provide explanations, reassure or inform the public. We also believe that the State must inform the Senegalese people, especially on three essential points. What stock is actually involved? What is the exact date of the implicated raw materials? Are these proven risks or not?” said Aliou Ba, president of the Association of Shopkeepers of Senegal.
He and his colleagues formally warned the company: “We want to protect consumers. We are ready to cooperate, but retailers should not lose money because of a problem that is not their fault. The company must take back its products and reimburse the retailers. And if this is not done, we will be forced to completely stop buying and selling this brand even when the problem is resolved,” he said on RFM radio.
