The usual calm of the Gadaye district was disturbed yesterday, Tuesday, around 6 p.m., by a violent fight in the street. A driver who tried to separate the two men involved was stabbed in the chest.
Alerted, the police officers from the Yeumbeul-Nord district police station immediately went to the scene where they found the driver S. Fall, aged 40 and residing in Guédiawaye, seriously injured.
According to witness statements, a violent altercation broke out between D. Sène, a 22-year-old mason, and AD Lèye, a 44-year-old cattle herder, both residents of Gadaye. While attempting to separate the two men, S. Fall was unfortunately stabbed by D. Sène, according to Seneweb sources. Panicked, D. Sène then reportedly threw the weapon into a nearby retention basin.
