Saint-Louis : Les populations de Mbarigo dénoncent la mauvaise qualité de l’eau de la SEOH
The inhabitants of the village of Mbarigo, located 18 km from Saint-Louis, on the road to Ross Béthio, are living a real ordeal. The cause is the poor quality of the water supplied by the management of the Société d'exploitation et d'ouvrage hydraulique (SEOH).
According to the locals, in addition to this undrinkable water, SEOH bills are considered too high. During a press briefing, they denounced a treatment they believe is the cause of several illnesses in the village.
The population, who have not ruled out taking to the streets, have called on the authorities to intervene to put an end to what they consider to be a lack of respect on the part of the SEOH. "This is a difficult situation we are experiencing. Here, some are even forced to buy mineral water to drink. This SEOH water is dangerous for the health of the population," said Idrissa Diallo, head of the Mbarigo village committee.
The population, who intend to pound the asphalt if nothing is done, are calling on the Minister of Hydraulics to intervene to resolve the problem.
