Saisie de 180 kg de haschisch au Maroc : Les aveux de 2 Burkinabès arrêtés à Keur Massar par l'OCRTIS et le rôle crucial du Consul

Police officers from the Dakar Regional Narcotics Brigade of OCRTIS arrested two Burkinabe nationals yesterday, Wednesday, in Keur Massar, following the seizure of 60 kg and 120 kg of hashish respectively in a truck in Morocco bound for Senegal and in a depot located in Morocco.

The identity of suspects arrested in Keur Massar

These are the nominees:

1) Souleymane KOANDA, born in 1995 in Ouagadougou, claiming to be a trader, living in the Keur Massar penitentiary.

2) Abdoul Raoufou GUINKO, born in 1998 in Sanogho (Burkina Faso), calling himself an artist-sculptor, living in the Keur Massar penitentiary.

The origin of the investigation: A providential denunciation

These arrests follow a tip-off from the managers of a freight company specializing in the transport of goods from Morocco. One of their refrigerated trucks was intercepted by Moroccan authorities during its scan, an operation that resulted in the arrests of a Senegalese national and a Moroccan national.

This chance discovery triggered an international investigation that was to reveal the extent of a particularly well-organized trafficking network.

The crucial role of the Consul of Senegal

On the same day, the Senegalese Consul in Morocco informed the head of the Regional Narcotics Brigade (BRS) in Dakar to confirm the seizure and arrests, according to Seneweb sources. He also informed him of the arrest of two other suspects: Saramane BAKAYOKO (Burkinabe) and Sindou BAMBA (Ivorian), the real couriers caught in their hiding place with an additional 120 kg of hashish.

This consular cooperation proved decisive in the dismantling of this international network.

An international network with multiple ramifications

According to the OCRTIS investigation, this is a vast network of hashish traffickers who transport the drug through Senegal before supplying it to Burkina Faso and Côte d'Ivoire. This criminal organization exploits legal trade routes to camouflage its illicit activities.

Moreover, the two suspects arrested in Keur Massar confirmed this theory during their interviews. Better still, they stated that they had been recruited and housed by a certain AZIZ, currently actively sought by the police and considered a key element of this network according to Seneweb sources.

In addition to the 180 kg of hashish seized in Morocco, Senegalese investigators also confiscated:

- The sum of 150,000 FCFA

- Three cell phones that may contain digital evidence important to the investigation

Investigations in progress

The investigation continues to dismantle the entire network and arrest all its members, including the mysterious AZIZ, whose central role in the organization was revealed by the suspects.
