Scandale à Tassette : Un agriculteur marié arrêté derrière le cimetière après une proposition indécente
The Thiès court of summary jurisdiction examined a case of indecent assault involving a married farmer residing in Tassette. The defendant, identified as Moussa, is accused of harassing a married woman by soliciting her for sexual relations, taking advantage of her vulnerable situation.
According to the facts, the victim, F. Niang, was searching for her missing goats when she encountered the defendant. He led her to believe the animals were in her field, promising to call her again if they appeared. It was in this context that he contacted her repeatedly, making indecent proposals.
In court, the complainant recounted the events in detail. She explained that she had initially been asked to retrieve her goats, but she refused. A few days later, the defendant called her again, this time offering to spend the night with her in exchange for returning her animals. Faced with the persistence of these sexually explicit calls, she decided to contact the village chief and the police.
A trap was then set. The accused arranged to meet the victim behind the Tassette cemetery. Discreetly accompanied by gendarmes, she went there, allowing Moussa to be arrested on the spot. The village chief, P. Thiaw, confirmed the victim's statements during the hearing.
During the preliminary investigation, the defendant admitted to the acts, claiming to have acted under the influence of "Satan." However, in court, he ultimately denied the accusations against him. Considering the facts established, the public prosecutor requested a three-month prison sentence. The court adjourned the case for deliberation.
