The commune of Medina Wandifa, located in the Bounkiling department, organized a circumcision camp with 150 children who thus enter the "man's hut." The objective of this initiative by Khady Guèye, a political leader in the Pastef party, is to promote culture, coexistence, unite different ethnic groups, and strengthen social ties, a guarantee of peace and security.
This first edition was a success thanks to the collaboration of administrative and municipal authorities and the technical and financial support of the NGO Medicine for International Solidarity (MEDISOL), chaired by Rose Wardini, obstetrician-gynecologist.
"It is well known that my policy has always been a social and development policy," she said, stressing that her suitcases also contained large quantities of medicines for the care of circumcised patients and schoolchildren for young girls.
